Program Description Industrial Engineering Technologists rely on strong technical ability, good business judgment, and superior people skills to improve safety, quality, and productivity in the production and service sectors. Objectives As an industrial engineering technologist, the graduate will have the knowledge and skill that will allow him/her to: Analyse industrial operations, using industrial engineering principles, to improve productivity. Optimize process designs that are both safe and productive while ensuring quality standards are met at minimal cost. Employ problem solving and management strategies that are fundamental to success in various industry settings. Create quality assurance / quality control procedures, in an industrial environment, to improve the effectiveness of the business. Formulate efficiency improvement plans using lean manufacturing techniques.
